But don’t take my word for it…
“The coaching relationship created opportunities for change I have not found in other situations. This was realized in Scott’s firm gentleness throughout the coaching process. Initially coaching helped to yoke the gap between seminar input and a true application of concepts. Later, Scott matched my commitment to face unpleasant issues. At a time of serious questioning, his regular engagement helped me to both validate who I am as a child of God, and to gain insight of how others perceive me. Scott met my defensiveness with equalizing engagement allowing change to become possible. Ultimately this helped to re-align my thinking and create a fresh view of myself. In short, I am grateful for the experience.”
- Kris (Ministry Leader)
“Scott brings a powerful combination of wisdom and life experience, decades of business ownership and skill, deep love for family, a mature spiritual life, and ICF-accredited coach training. His “servant heart” will help you grow in your own ability to Serve Strong!”
- Christopher McCluskey (PCC, CMCC, President, Coaching for Christian Living and Director, Christian Track at the Institute for Life Coach Training)
“I am in a place of ministry I would never have thought of being, but through this past year [of coaching] I can see how God was working in my life to bring me to the place where my heart was ready for it. Scott was an integral part of this journey for which I am very grateful. Coaching with Scott was definitely worth the investment in time, heart, and money. I have not regretted it one bit. He is an encourager who only seeks the best in others to help them fulfill God’s call in life. I would recommend him for coaching without any reservations.”
- Kevin (Pastor to missionaries)
“I appreciated your coaching over the months that we worked together. You consistently helped me to think through issues and processes in a way that was exactly right for me. I must say that your style of coaching is the style that works best for me and I do praise the Lord that He brought us together for this period of time.”
- Vic (Missionary Trainer)
“I entered into coaching because I was feeling completely out of control. “Life” was getting in the way of me being able to fulfill God’s call on my life as Christian, spouse, parent and pastor. Through coaching I established disciplines that allow me to stay energized and focused. The accountability through the relationship with my coach was so needed in this process. I am stronger today in all areas of my life because of this investment. I would add that one of the best things about coaching is that Scott always has my best interests in mind. The questions he asks allow me to really own the situations that I am in and not become controlled by the problems, the calendar or let’s face it, the people I minister to on a regular basis. Even in making the decision to end coaching, Scott supported my growth and celebrated that this was the best decision for me at the time. There was never any pressure to do anything that was not of my choosing. The door was left wide open to return as I know that this is a support that will help me in the future.”
- Deb (Children’s Pastor)
“Over the past 14 months, I have received tremendous support, encouragement, and guidance from Serving Strong. Scott, as my coach has helped me find better balance with my family, health, ministry, and other areas of my life. Deciding to have a life coach was one of the greatest decisions that I have ever made.”
- Paul (Lead Pastor)
“Very practical & proven techniques that will allow me to improve areas in my life in order for me to be a better person, husband, father, and pastor.”
- Scott (Youth Leader)
“I struggle with balance and self care so [the coaching] was excellent for me, especially the area on defining Sabbath for my life.”
- Gerri (Ministry Leader)
“Your staff training day with [our church] was priceless. What you gave us was immediately applicable and filled with wisdom, not pages of notes conference style, but several key images with deep and lasting impact. Count on coming back…”
- Sam (Ministry Leader)
“When I began with Serving Strong my life appeared-from the outside-to be running along smoothly. Only my family and I knew the truth. I was grossly out of balance. My job as a community pastor had taken full priority at the expense of my family, household, and health. Serving Strong provided the principles and support I needed to make life-long, God-honoring, Kingdom-building changes. I am now able to care for my emotional and physical space in a way that honors all to whom I am responsible. I am so thankful for the services of Serving Strong.”
- Vicki (Ministry Leader)
“Our times together have become an invaluable resource to me! I really appreciate your coaching and friendship.”
- Jim (Ministry Leader)
“Coaching with Scott has been, without a doubt, one of the highlights of my adult life. Education, ministry, and life experience are great teachers, but the coaching experience has enabled me to clarify what matters most, to define the legacy I hope to leave, and begin to live each day in constant progress toward that end. I’m more efficient in my work, more attentive as a husband and father, and more effective as a minister through coaching. Scott’s use of metaphors made learning easy and memorable. I simply can’t say enough good about this experience and am already recommending Scott’s coaching to others.”
- Sam (Senior Pastor)
“I’m starting my own business. I’m a visionary and can’t wait for when I can afford to hire my own assistant. In the meantime, coaching with Scott has helped me stay on target with what I need to do and I know I couldn’t do that on my own.”
- Steve (Consultant to Churches)
