About Scott

My name is Scott Couchenour (pronounced “coke an hour”) and I’m a recovering burnout and depression sufferer. I married a preacher’s kid over 27 years ago. God gave us two incredible children who are both pursuing God’s unique call on their lives. I am mostly introverted with a love of spreadsheets, fly fishing, organization, bold coffee, and long walks on the beach…(wait, that’s for… oh, nevermind)

Serving Strong exists to provide USEFUL CONTENT and DYNAMIC COACHING.

USEFUL CONTENT

I blog. Every post I write is generally no more than 500 words max. I keep to a schedule of 3-4 posts per week. Each post is related to serving strong in ministry leadership and encourages dialog with you, the reader. You can subscribe to the blog posts by clicking here.

Beyond the blog posts, I produce a short email meditation which reaches over 400 subscribers in more than 10 countries around the globe (click here to subscribe). It is a short read that comes direct to subscribers’ inboxes every Tuesday at 6:00am EST. It is specifically designed to challenge and encourage subscribers to stay strong as they pursue God’s call during their week. Subscribers are challenged to take the Tuesday Meditation and go over to the Serving Strong Facebook Group and carry on discussions about staying strong with fellow subscribers all through the week.

There are also a variety of discussions going on over at the Serving Strong LinkedIn Group as well.
